Welcome to Chattermit. By accessing our text or video chat rooms, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully.
1. Age Restriction
You must be at least 18 years of age to access or use Chattermit. If you are under 18, you are strictly prohibited from entering any chat session.
2. Prohibited Conduct
Chattermit is dedicated to clean, safe, and fun conversations. You agree not to:
- Broadcast or send graphic, sexually explicit, or pornographic content.
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Transmit malware, spyware, or malicious script protocols.
- Advertise products, services, or commercial links without authorization.
3. Limitation of Liability
Chattermit connects users directly via peer-to-peer (P2P) WebRTC protocols. We do not inspect, control, or take responsibility for the actions or media streams of users you are matched with. Use of this service is entirely at your own risk.
Privacy Policy
1. No Server Logs
Your privacy is central to our design. We do not record, store, or log your chat conversations, sent media images, or camera/microphone feeds on our database servers.
2. Local Geolocation Storage
When searching for a partner in our text queue, Chattermit performs a client-side lookup of your approximate latitude and longitude via IP addresses. This coordinate is kept in volatile storage on our matchmaking database only while you are actively waiting. It is completely deleted from our database as soon as you connect with a peer or leave the queue.
3. WebRTC Peer-to-Peer Transmission
All message bubbles, photos, and video feeds are exchanged natively between your browser and the matched browser using secure, direct Peer-to-Peer (P2P) channels. No user-to-user content streams pass through our system databases.
